Dominique Celerin

Dominique Celerin is a Tampa native with a passion for criminal defense. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Miami. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member and captain of the all-girl cheerleading team. She represented the University of Miami at various corporate and community events.
Dominique earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Dominique was an officer in the Black Law Students Association, a Student Ambassador, and a member of the Innocence Clinic. Dominique also interned for the majority of her time in law school with the Miami Public Defender’s Office.
After Dominique returned to Tampa, she served as an Assistant Public Defender in Hillsborough County for more than three years. During her first year, Dominique created a caselaw summary guide for the Public Defender Office on handling failures to appear.
Dominique has defended a wide array of clients charged with juvenile offenses, misdemeanor offenses, felony violations of probation, and serious felony cases. She has also successfully written and argued motions to suppress, motions to dismiss, and bond motions. Dominique’s trial and litigation experience included handling serious charges such as sexual battery, aggravated stalking, possession of a controlled substance, and DUIs.
Dominique is a zealous advocate for her clients. She is meticulous and thorough in her case preparation, which positively impacts her clients. In her free time, Dominique enjoys cooking and traveling.
