Under Administrative Order No. 2009-06-01, the Chief Judge enter an amended order government the assignment of misdemeanor cases in Orange County, FL.

The Clerk of Court’s Case Information Case Management System (CICMS) assigns newly filed criminal misdemeanor cases to the County Criminal Subdivision Judges on a
random basis.

In order to facilitate the efficient operation of the administration of justice in Orange County, FL, the administrative order required the following procedure:

• Division A in the County Criminal Division in Orange County, originally created in 2009 and having served the purpose for which it was created is deactivated;
• With the exception of parking matters assigned to a traffic hearing officer, effective
  October 19, 2020, upon intake, the Clerk of Court in both the Criminal Division and the Traffic
  Division will randomly and equally assign newly filed criminal misdemeanor cases with a clerk
  case prefix of “MM” and criminal traffic cases with a clerk case prefix of “CT” among the
  County Criminal Subdivisions.
• The Clerk is directed to randomly and equally reassign all existing cases currently assigned to Division A among the County Criminal Subdivisions by October 19, 2020;
• The County Criminal Subdivisions shall conduct arraignments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 a.m.
• Administrative Order(s) 2009-06,2001-02 and 2001-01-2 are vacated and set aside except to the extent that each has been incorporated and/or amended herein.
