Katherine Aranda, originally from New Jersey, moved to Tampa, FL to attend the University of Tampa. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and went on to earn her Law Degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida.
In law school, Katherine was a standout member of the Nationally Ranked Trial Team, competing in mock trial competitions throughout Florida.
Katherine’s commitment to justice began early. She worked with the Innocence Project on Prosecutorial Misconduct and completed a semester of clinical work with the Public Defender’s Office in Clearwater. Her dedication to understanding diverse legal systems took her to Tokyo, Japan, where she interned at a law firm specializing in Maritime Law.
Katherine began her career as an attorney at the Public Defender’s Office in Clearwater. As an Assistant Public Defender for the 6th Judicial Circuit, she gained extensive jury trial experience, defending clients against a wide range of criminal charges. From misdemeanor traffic violations, DUIs, and Petit Thefts to serious felonies like aggravated battery, firearm possession, and drug sales, Katherine has seen it all. She also spent nearly a year in the Juvenile Department, solely representing children charged with both misdemeanor and felony offenses.

Her practice is particularly focused on violent crimes, including domestic violence battery crimes in Pinellas County, FL.
Katherine is also a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the Hillsborough Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, continuously refining her legal skills to better serve the Tampa Bay community.
