Detectives with the Cyber Investigations Unit of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office focused significant resources on investigations involving digital forensics and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC).
The Cyber Investigations Unit of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office conducts Digital and Forensic investigations, as well as Child Exploitation investigations.
In Pasco County, FL, a dedicated Cyber Investigations Sergeant and several detectives are assigned to the Cyber Investigation Unit.
Two (2) detectives are assigned to Child Exploitation investigations, while three (3) detectives are assigned to Digital / Forensic investigations.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office recently remodeled its state of the art investigative facility by making hardware, software and equipment upgrades.
After the upgrades, the Cyber Investigation Unit in Pasco County, FL, provides support to other law enforcement agencies and the United States Secret Service.

History of the Cyber Crimes Unit of Pasco Sheriff’s Office
In 2017, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office reorganized the Cyber Crimes Unit by moving it from the Major Crimes Division to the Special Investigations Division (SID).
By moving the Cyber Crimes Unit, detectives working on cyber crimes were able to work closer with detectives in Vice & Narcotics.
In early 2018, the Cyber Investigations Unit was moved to a remodeled space in order to accommodate the increase in manpower and improves the unit’s capabilities.
