Suncoast Safety Council Provides DUI School in Pinellas

Suncoast Safety Council is the only licensed DUI School in Pinellas County. You can call the Suncoast Safety Counsel at 727-373-7233 for more information about enrolling in the DUI School for Level I or Level II. The DUI instructors and curriculum are regulated by the Florida Administrative Code, Rule 15A-10.

  • Level I DUI Class – twelve-hour class (costing $231) for anyone with one alcohol or drug-related traffic conviction or arrest in their life.
  • Level II DUI Class-twenty-one hour class (costing $356) for anyone meeting one of the following requirements:
    • (1) convicted or arrested of more than one alcohol or drug-related traffic offense;
    • (2) who previously attended a DUI Level I Drug and Alcohol Education Course; or
    • (3) who was convicted two or more times of an offense requiring DUI program attendance in a lifetime.

DUI School Treatment Referrals in Pinellas County, FL

In conjunction with enrollment at the Suncoast Safety Council DUI Program in Pinellas County, FL, the subject might be required to participate in treatment as required by Section 316.192, 316.193, 322.271 or 322.291, Florida Statutes. As part of the treatment, the subject must grant permission to the Suncoast Safety Council DUI Program to deliver the following documents:

  1. Completed Client Data Information and Interview, HSMV Form 77004
  2. The signed Treatment Referral and/or Documentation, HSMV Form 77005.

The subject must also grant permission to the Suncoast Safety Council DUI Program in Pinellas County, FL, to obtain information from the treatment provider. The information may not be used to criminally investigate or prosecute any alcohol or drug abuse patient. The reasons to be referred for treatment might include the following:

  • Drinking related concerns
  • Family related concerns
  • Drug related concerns
  • After care needs
  • Health related concerns
  • Antabuse program
  • Personal concerns

The subject will be asked to select a treatment agency most convenient based on cost, location, or other personal factors. If the subject fails to complete the treatment, the DUI school will notify the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, triggering a suspension or revocation. Treatment is provided until the treatment provider releases the subject from treatment.
