DUI Saturation Patrol in Pinellas County

According to news release number 23-062, the DUI Unit of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office scheduled a County-Wide DUI Saturation Patrol on Cinco de Mayo. The saturation patrol ran from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, until 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

During the DUI Saturation Patrol, deputies stopped as many citizens as possible for alleged traffic violations. The purpose of the saturation patrol is to increase the number of DUI arrests.

Agencies that typically participate in these DUI saturation patrols include:

  • Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office;
  • Florida Highway Patrol;
  • Clearwater Police Department;
  • Gulfport Police Department;
  • Indian Shores Police Department;
  • Kenneth City Police Department;
  • Largo Police Department;
  • Pinellas Park Police Department;
  • St. Petersburg Police Department; and
  • Tarpon Springs Police Department.
