The dispatch center assigns the call description, although the investigation’s final outcome may differ. The call’s description might include a suspicious person, directed patrol, park walk and talk, battery, ordinance violation, animal case, or traffic case.

After you make the public record request, the Records Department of the Clearwater Police Department is responsible for the collection, filing, organizing, retention, redaction, and dissemination of police records, according to Florida Statute Chapter 119.
Patrol Divisions of the Clearwater Police Department
The Patrol Division of the Clearwater Police Department provides the initial uniformed response to a wide variety of calls for service, including traffic crashes and criminal investigations.
The Patrol Districts of the CPD are divided into three geographic districts – District 1, District 2, and District 3. Each district has an assigned District Commander responsible for deploying officers within the district for calls and follow-up investigations.
